Hiring a Crowd for a Romantic and Unique Wedding Proposal

It should be full of romance and love but a proposal of marriage that has the surprise factor is an extra memorable one. Hiring a crowd is one way of adding something different to a question and answer that will change your lives completely.

The traditional way to propose

Dropping onto bended knee, you present the ring in a box and ask the question. But do you know why the traditional proposal of marriage is like this?

Kneeling in front of someone has many connotations. In terms of a marriage proposal, it is a move shrouded in spirituality and is also thought to come from the days of knights. Honouring their king or queen, the knight would drop down on one knee.

In modern times, this caught on as the perfect move to ask that special someone for their hand in marriage. But make sure you use the right knee. Etiquette experts say that kneeling on your left knee with the ring box in your left hand is the correct way to propose.

Making your proposal that extra something special

Traditions are wonderful and even with you down on your left knee, you still want something a little different. This makes it all the more memorable, a great story to tell in the future.

Of course, what works and what will be welcomed depends on your both. If your other half has a fear of heights, whisking them away in a hot air balloon will be their stuff of nightmares.

There are other ideas that may not fit the bill:

  • From Russia with love – not the film but a story of a Russian chap who proposed to his girlfriend after pretending to have died in a horrific accident. He hired a director and full TV crew to pull off the stunt. Despite the initial panic that her partner was badly injured or dead when he leapt up to propose, she said yes. And she saw the funny side of the stunt too.
  • Walking on air – or experiencing zero gravity in this case. Taking himself and his girlfriend on a flight to the fringes of space, whilst turning in zero gravity he managed the pop the question. She said yes.
  • In a fish tank – there she was, happily wandering through the fish tank enclosures at a large, well-known aquarium and out popped two divers with a huge banner asking her to marry her boyfriend. He in the meantime gets down on bended knee with the ring in hand. A lovely surprise and not expected.

Defying expectations – hire a flashmob for a wedding proposal

The thing about a great marriage proposal is that they are not expected. You may have talked about tying the knot but arranging something extra special will add the hint of surprise that every proposal should have.
