Envisage 2018 – The Year That Was!

And what a year it was! We grew our company and client base, as well as the Envisage family.

We believe that looking back is a great tool for planning the future and so with 2019 firmly established, we’ve highlighted just a few of our successes during 2018.

2018 – The Ups and Downs

2018 was a tumultuous year in many ways. With Brexit looming closer, the world of politics became increasingly reactive and fragile, the economy limped and stuttered, budgets were squeezed yet tighter across the board.

Trading conditions were difficult but fair waters don’t make a sailor and so for the team at Envisage, it meant that as soon as the clocked ticked past midnight and 2018 landed on the doorstep, we needed to hit the ground running.

At Envisage Promotions, we work smarter, not harder and thus realised that with our clients feeling a hefty financial pinch, we needed to up our game, offering exceptional value every step of the way.

So how did we do?

Clients

With no clients, we have no Envisage, no business and nothing to do. Looking after our clients is essential for growing our business. Throughout 2018, we were proud to welcome returning customers as well as finding new ones. Overall, we expanded our client base considerably, exceeding the targets we set ourselves at the start of the year.

  • Projects

We’ve been involved in some amazing projects including a huge nationwide event for an energy supplier as well as supplying marshals and stewards at a large event for a leading UK cancer charity.

  • Christmas 2018

As well as working with more clients from all industries and sectors, we had a successful festive season, supplying over 300 hire a Santas for business and corporate events, charity events, parties, grottos and more. We are currently recruiting Santas for the 2019 Christmas season.

  • International

We are well-known for providing high-quality staff for events across the UK and in 2018, we also provided marketing, promotional and event staff for events in France, the Middle East and America. We already have some exciting international events lined up for 2019 too!

Envisage Security Staff was launched

We found that we were being increasingly asked for event security staff alongside marshals, stewards and promotional staff. We couldn’t ignore such a clear demand for an event security service and so we set up and launched the security ‘arm’, Envisage Security Staff.

Using professional and SIA licensed security staff, we are providing a growing number of personnel and teams of event security staff for clients across the UK.

Staff

The Envisage Family continued to grow and develop. As well as welcoming new and exciting promotional staff, we also saw a welcome increase in the office. We welcomed Corryn, Jack S, Jack H, Matt and Ellis to the team, all of whom contribute to making Envisage the brand that it is. As well as new members of staff, promotions were welcomed too with George becoming the Bookings Manager, and Paula making a welcome move to your growing marketing department.

With lofty targets and goals set for our teams, you can imagine the excitement when goals were not just surpassed but blown out of the water! We have an amazing team at Envisage and the night out we enjoyed – chauffeur driven limo, VIP treatment, the works! – was a fitting reward for such smart work from a smart team.

As well as growing our family, we also developed and enhanced our team think with the Envisage Way of doing things. The Envisage Way has become the vehicle for driving excellence in everything that we do, from the way we work with clients to how we work together as an effective team.

Our growing team meant that space was becoming ever more limited and so there we made the bold move to move offices to larger premises. With room to move, we have made ourselves at home.

Tools

There are many ingredients to the mix that is a successful company. The one strand that we invest heavily in is our people. We have thousands of promotional staff across the UK working with our clients, as well as our office-based staff.

Recognising their efforts in making Envisage what it is important and thus, we started many incentive and recognition schemes in 2018. As well as Person of the Month, we also invested in PerkBox, a fantastic tool for staff rewards.

Community

We worked hard in 2018 to add to our brand voice and persona and have some great plans afoot for the coming year too.

  • Sponsorship – the Envisage Group became an official sponsor of the British Super Bikes. Motorsports and superbikes run through Envisage as we are known for providing promotional and hospitality staff trackside at several major events like BSB.
  • Charities – also realise the importance of giving back and have supported charities and requests in many ways in 2018. Our festive team arranged for one of our Santa’s and a team of Elves to visit the Hospital of St Cross Hospital in Rugby. As well as charity appearances by promotional staff, we are also proud to be supporting Rugby Foodbank in 2019.

Success

But all this success in 2018 means nothing if our clients are unhappy. But we don’t need to worry! Just look at what our clients have said about us…

Just to say thanks for your support in supplying fantastic hosts for our very last-minute event in Wales on New Year’s Day. Elinor, Jessie, Rosie & Nicola were all fantastic and did a brilliant job in what was quite an intense sampling activation over a short time period. In addition, thanks for the back of house staff in sorting late cancellations and replacements the night before the event – we were obviously worried but impressed at the resolution turnaround time. Will definitely be considering Envisage for the next promotion.

The person who attended our recruitment session is really professional, confident and comfortable approaching people. She is very helpful and has been a great team player by stepping up and finding solutions to help us with our project.

Just wanted to say thank you for supplying us with the promo staff for our event in Birmingham, Saturday just gone. The feedback from my team on the day was very positive and they thought your staff were excellent!

We had 2 of your staff working for us at an event in Basingstoke on 17th August. I just wanted to say a big thank you to both staff. They both arrived at the meeting point in good time and conducted themselves professionally and in a really helpful and positive manner throughout. We asked a couple of things of them which weren’t on their original briefing and they both got stuck in without complaint. They were two of the best promotional staff I have ever had the pleasure of working with and I would not hesitate to request them again for future work. Please pass on our thanks to them.

From the booking process to the delivery of marshals on the event day, Envisage Agency is extremely professional, efficient and reliable. I would recommend using them on any event large or small, they are able to deliver a great quality service.

Just wanted to send you a thank you for a great staff. Everything went really well at the exhibition and your staffing assistance helped greatly. We could not have asked for better. So much so that when we have our next exhibition in London using your services again we would like to have Rhea again.

Yesterday we held an exhibition at the Novotel London Hammersmith where we had 5 members of your staff work with us. I can honestly say that this is the best team of agency staff I have ever worked with at event – both from your agency and others we have used. Each staff member picked up tasks quickly and with ease, used their initiative to pick up other unspecified jobs when quiet without being prompted and most importantly provided excellent customer service skills throughout the event.  Farley specifically showed excellent leadership skills and Mariela was exceptionally organised and thorough with every task she did. I would happily work with all of these staff members again and if possible can you make a note of their details against our file for future events.

We had feedback from our staff at the event and they all mentioned the gentleman we had for serval events, was very helpful, friendly and a pleasure to work with! So thank you again and thank you for your patience with our last minute requests and changes!
