Homesense Promotional Staff – Case Study

The Brief

To promote awareness and increase footfall into a new Homesense store opening in the Birmingham area. Promotional teams to engage with the general public, distribute flyers about the grand opening and on the day the doors open attract people in with discount vouchers for money off purchases that weekend.

  • Talking about the store and not just handing out flyers as the client wanted the teams to engage with the public too

  • Making sure the public could find the store and help with tips such as parking, etc

How did the campaign and promotional staff work?

hire flyering staff in BirminghamA team of eight promotional event staff were hired for the event to work across four close locations including Solihull, Shirley, Sears Shopping Park and Birmingham city centre over a five day promotion.

The promotional staff were split into four teams of two with one of the staff being an event manager.  The Event Manager would travel between all the locations during the activity to ensure the teams were engaging with the target audience, topping up their flyers and discount vouchers and if required moving teams to areas of higher footfall. 

Each member of the team was given a uniform to help attract attention and appeal to the target audience.

The Event Results

The store had a record number of visits on its opening weekend with thousands of people presenting their discount vouchers that had been handed to them during the promotion by the Brand Ambassadors.

The campaign was such a huge success that the client wanted to continue the positive momentum and hired the same promotions team from us the following month.
