Top 5 ideas for showcasing Christmas Gifts

Christmas is coming, and if this is your time of year, 2020 will be different, in so many ways.

Some people will want to round off a rather strange 2020 with a bang, and others will be watching the pennies and perhaps be more cautious about spending.

Christmas spending represents circa 20-30% of annual sales for most retailers, depending on the area they specialise in (toys are closer to 30%).

With local lockdowns in force, the possibility of a second wave and Government policy adapting to the number of COVID cases, Christmas product marketers are going to have to think outside the box.

Showing products on a retailers screen just isn’t the same as people testing them in person, so how do we get around this difficult issue?

Christmas Gifting

Boots are running a Christmas campaign like no other.  Instead of a 3-day event inviting store managers to a venue to test products, they are instead producing online live videos and inviting brands in to demo their products. to the staff who will be watching from their stores.

Its a completely different way of showcasing products.  From a manufacturer’s perspective, although not ideal, they can at least demonstrate their product to the retailing teams who will be selling it during Christmas 2020.
