Sampling for Freshpet Pet Food

The pet food market is a competitive place but pet owners wants are changing and they are wanting healthier and fresher food options for their beloved pets. Pet owners are looking for something new!

Freshpet has come to the market to offer something different, by starting with fresh ingredients and ending with fresh pet food. Making food for pets, not pet food.
Being a new company offering a new perspective on pet health it makes sense that Freshpet chose sampling to promote their products to the UK, so they came to us to help them market their product.

The Sampling Brief

Our staff were to sample the Freshpet product at 3 different well known supermarket stores in the UK. We sent 4 of our top staff members to do this in Eastbourne, Hythe and Sittingbourne stores.

Our staff were tasked with completing a range of tasks:

• Set up the sampling stands and prepare them for the day.
• Interact with customers at the store and draw attention to the stand.
• Informing customers about the brand.
• Handing out free Freshpet samples to the customers.

The Sampling Outcome

This sampling campaign has had a great success, our staff have done a great job with connecting with customers through their pets and have made lots of sales on the products.

Freshpet are extremely impressed with the campaign seeing how well it worked. For any brand, getting their product/service out there and noticed is key for the success of their brand and this was a small sampling project that has delivered a lot of results and insight for the client.

As a result of this, the client has booked in with us again requesting the same staff members for different supermarket stores in the UK to continue the good work.  This means that Freshpet will be able to target the pet food market and have a huge impact on it.
